The Polana region is located in the core of Slovakia. Here can be found a great variety of music and instruments: the sheperds' flutes koncovka, valaska pistalka, dvojacka and the famous bass flute fujara, played in solo, duet or quartet, the bagpipe gajdy, and the string ensemble which performs dance music or accompanies the ‘songs to order’.
